The Clario® Advanced DSL Microfilter is a compact, symmetrical in-line unit that enables xDSL to be deployed at the customer premise without technical supervision or 'truck rolls'. The filters are inserted in the telephone line at telephones, FAX and answering machines. This isolates the POTS instruments from the high xDSL modem frequencies by presenting a high input impedance at these frequencies. The symmetrical electronic design makes incorrect line installation impossible.

The Clario® Advanced DSL Microfilter attenuation at 30kHz is 55dB or greater, yielding superior reduction in the upstream xDSL signal across the POTS instrument. There is no noticeable primary or intermodulation generated hiss in the telephone sidetone or degradation of FAX machine data.

A flush mounted wall unit is also available.

Current Cisco OEM Supplier.

  • Much better performance than G.Lite filters - less telephone sidetone hiss due to CPE transmitter output.
  • Inline filter is completely symmetrical - no performance degradation by reversing input and output.
  • 30 kHz attenuation is greater than 53 dB for inline filter.
  • 30 kHz attenuation is greater than 66 dB for wall mount filter.
  • POTS inband loss is less than 0.5 dB.
  • Round trip DCR is less than 25 ohms.
  • Supports more than 100 mA of loop current with no filter degradation.
  • FCC and UL certified.

Test data: Filter performance shown includes a modem load at the "Line" or "Wall" port of the filter and a 600 ohm instrument at the "Tel port of the filter. The Clario® ADM and WallADM attenuation is greater than 70 dB beyond 1.5 MHz. Critical attenuation range for the upstream CPE signal is nominally 25 to 130 kHz. The filters do not degrade the downstream xDSL signal path.
